Green day
For those of you who follow my Tweets, you’d have known that March 1st was my husband’s birthday. But I had a personal celebration on as well – because I could (finally) fit into one of my well-loved pre-pregnancy top!
All those days of starving myself finally paid off … okay, not exactly true – if I was starving myself, I’d have been able to fit into it months ago!
The said top was a lovely moss-green Banana Republic piece purchased during one of their sales (never pay full retail, unless it’s for Chanel’s Rouge Allure Laque, I say!), and for almost a year, I’d bring it out every other month to try and squeeze myself in.
Finally did it.
So, my way of celebrating was to … well, go green!
Tools:
- Face: Chanel Vitalumière Éclat Comfort Radiance Compact Makeup in Beige Rosé – Pastel, La Mer The Radiant Concealer in 03.
- Cheeks: Estée Lauder Signature Silky Powder Blush in Nude Rose
- Eyes: Macha Green, Shamrock and Sea Foam from Bobbi Brown Brights Eye Palette, L’Oréal Pencil Eyeliner in Cafe, Maybelline The Magnum Volum’ Express mascara in Black.
- Lips: Benefit V.I.P Lipgloss in Kiss Me.
p.s: I know – a bit of a messy job with the mascara, but I was in a hurry!

Hey Yani , nice go green idea ! I like your eyes make up ^^
And what are the eye brow pencil you’re using in this picture ya ?
Btw , is there anyway that I can follow ur site ? hehe….
you look really nice in green
Eeyer you have such lovely eyes *jealous*
Gorgeous look and congrats on fitting back into your clothes! Wait a min – did I see that green top recently? If I did, its gorgeous!
Thanks, Paris – hehehe, nope – not the same top, the one you saw me in was rather “flowy” so had n problems fitting into it!
Thanks so much, Juan!
Hi there! Thank you for the compliment! For my eyebrows, I normally line with Anna Sui’s Eyebrow Liner in 500, then fill in with Brow Powder, this time using Red Earth Absolute Brows kit.
Thank you for reading my blog – keep coming back, promise will set up the “Follow This Blog” service very soon!
Green looks wonderful on you! And hooray for the weight loss
I love your lashes, they are so lush. Is the Maybelline Magnum easy to remove and is the formula the same as Colossal (the ones available locally)? I know the brush is different. I’m trying to look for a volumising mascara ‘cos my lashes are rather sparse.
Hi Lyn! Thank you for the compliment! To answer your question, I have no problems removing my Magnum mascara with my Maybelline waterproof eye makeup remover. As for the difference between Magnum and Colossal (Magnum’s the one that’s available locally), I’d suggest reading Connie’s review at http://www.skindeco.net/2010/01/comparison-maybelline-colossal-vs.html. Hope this helps!
you look great! in fact i think you have gorgeous eyes and those greens… it’s beautiful!
and i don’t think ur lashes are messy at all! looks ok to me… maybe i’m not fussy? LOL
Hahaha, thanks Plue! No lah, look closely enough and you can see the black messy bits!
